About Me

My name is Harin Lyu, and I was born in South Korea. Although I spent my early childhood there, my education has been entirely international. I moved to Singapore in first grade and began my schooling at United World College (UWCSEA). I am currently in eighth grade at Tanglin Trust School (TTS), where I continue to pursue both academic and extracurricular passions. Academically, I am fascinated in all parts of Science, whether its Biology, Chemistry, or Physics I tend to be drawn to all. I also particularly enjoy History and Art. These subjects allow me to think critically, explore creativity, and make connections between the past and present. Beyond the classroom, I am a student athlete and a performer. I play competitive volleyball representing my school, play Squash at the American Club of Singapore, and enjoy running in my free time. I also sing in both the senior and chamber choirs, and sometimes engage in community service activities that allow me to give back to my community. These experiences have helped shape me into a well rounded student with a global perspective and a strong sense of purpose.

Studio Arts

I’ve been creating art since the 5th grade, and it’s a huge part of how I express myself. I love experimenting with different styles, which has led to some cool opportunities like winning first place in the K-CreAI Competition and having my work chosen for an exhibition at the Singapore National Museum.

Choir Singing

Singing (Choir)

I’ve been singing with my school's Senior and Chamber Choirs since the 6th grade, and it's been an amazing experience. We’ve performed at venues like the Esplanade Concert Hall and international FOBISIA festivals. I was thrilled to be selected for a solo in the upcoming Bangkok festival!
